OVERVIEW: This NVQ level 2 Transporting Loads qualification specifies the combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification; competence in preparing and operating volumetric trucks, trailer mounted concrete pumps, tractors, static concrete placing booms, self-propelled bowsers, rear tipping dump trucks or forward tipping dumpers to receive, transport and discharge materials in the workplace.

The CPCS/NPORS Red Trained Operator card is valid for 2 years, during which time you are required to undertake the relevant plant NVQ to upgrade to the Blue Competent Operator Card. On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CPCS/NPORS tests and the CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Blue CPCS/NPORS card.

To achieve this qualification a minimum of 17 credits need to be attained. This comprises the 2 mandatory units plus 1 unit from the optional unit group.
